Andy Azula's Bio:

      Andy Azula is senior vice president and group creative director at The Martin Agency in Richmond Virginia.   Andy is best known for developing and then subsequently “starring” in UPS’s Whiteboard campaign. And while it was never his intention to appear in his own work, focus groups responded to “that guy with bad hair who can draw.” Saturday Night Live had fun spoofing the campaign.   Andy began his career in advertising as an art director in the east at agencies in Georgia and North Carolina. His work for North Carolina Travel and Tourism, Verbatim garnered many awards as well as the attention of Fallon in Minneapolis.   While at Fallon, Andy worked on national accounts such as BMW, Nikon, Miller,Timex and Lee Jeans. After five Minnesota winters, Andy found his way Goodby, Silverstein and Partners in San Francisco. There he worked on various national accounts, such as E*TRADE, Budweiser, The Wall Street Journal, Discover Card, Foster Farms and Specialized Bikes.   In 2001, Andy joined McCann Erickson as a senior vice president, group creative director for the Microsoft account. He was part of the team responsible in re-setting Microsoft’s image with the Your Potential Our Passion campaign.   In 2004, Andy returned to the east to work at The Martin Agency as a senior vice president, group creative director. He has overseen accounts such as UPS, Pizza Hut, Manpower, Experian, Exxon and Kraft. He has also contributed to the agency’s Wal-mart work.   Andy’s work has been recognized by Cannes, Communication Arts, The One Show, the National ADDYs, CLIOs, the Effies and well as several other award shows. In addition to judging many of the prestigious advertising shows, Andy has also sat on the board of The One Club, an organization he continues to be  involved with through speaking engagements and teaching events.
